Baby Boy or Girl??

Zac and I find out this Wednesday night what the gender of Baby Bean is!  We were thinking about paying for an early ultrasound at one of those special fetal photo clinics, but decided to save the $70 and wait the 5 weeks until I could get the big 20 week ultrasound.  But on Saturday my friend Ashley called and said that her young womens group was shadowing an ultrasound tech. for their activity this week, and needed a woman between 15-20 weeks pregnant who could come for a gender ultrasound. And wouldn't you know...it was Fetal Photos in Murray where I had looked at getting it done!  So thanks to Ashley and the young women of her ward, we don't have to pay and we get to find out early!  And it is such a blessing because this Wednesday, I will be exactly 15 weeks! She was like, the only catch is you'll have some young women watching the ultrasound...to which I say, the more the merrier!  Baby Bean will have an audience.  I will do a cartwheel if they want.  I still stand by my prediction it's a boy...but we'll see! If it's a girl, it would be so much easier in the name department because we have 3 names picked out.

In other news, this weekend we solved the Great Carpet Dilemma.  The weekend started out with Zac and me sitting in the Zupa's parking lot, me balling my eyes out.  "Our place....(sniffle)...is...just...toohardtoclean!" I cried.  "It's big and old and when I clean it doesn't (sniff)  look any diffffferent." Zac held my hand.  "And the carpppettt is soooo (sniff) groooossss I don'tevenliketowalkonit" I balled.  (This first trimester has been hard to clean...I just fall asleep everywhere and then stress out our place is dirty.) So Zac, being the sweetheart he is instead of laughing at my pregnancy-hormone outburst, said, "Let's wait until the spring when the weather is better and you may like our place more (with the snow the location on a hill has been really inconvenient), but if not, then we'll move.  And we can get new carpet."  To which I said, "Really?"  So we went into Zupa's (because it was the only thing that sounded ok to eat) with me all blurry-eyed and ate our mediocre salad and sandwiches and I felt so much better.  Just being listened to sometimes makes such a difference!

The next day we went to Shopko, and it was just our luck they had 50% off all rugs, so we walked out of there with 5 rugs (some were GIANT) for $200 (and if you have ever tried to buy a rug bigger than a doormat, you know they're expensive) and Zac didn't complain that we were doing decorating-shopping.   We stuffed them in our car, came home, rearranged the living room, and I felt so much better.  Zac is my rug-ged knight. (See what I did there?)  I cleaned the place (my energy is returning) and felt so much better.

Zac made a steak dinner and the next day he made garlic-lemon shrimp and some Red Lobster cheese biscuits I found a recipe for on Pinterest that I pinned with the intention to make in like 10 years (because that's how Pinterest is for me...things look great but I never end up making them).  And the biscuits were amazing and I felt so lucky.  This baby is getting one amazing Dad.
