My entree was a hot charred mess. So inedible I sent it back (I am not usually one of those people. See a pic below---WARNING: disgustingly graphic!) I tweeted this but feel it necessary to say again: it would be a disservice to humanity if I didn't warn you not to go to Cedars of Lebanon. The hub and I frequent middle eastern food enough to know this place was B-A-D. I can be a garbage disposal when it comes to dining, but even I turned up my nose and sent back my plate. I went there 7 years ago and liked it---perhaps they have a new chef? I was optimistic when I saw the authentic decor, dim lighting, and even a pillowed dining area. My optimism, however, took a pretty steady hit over the next hour that we were there. Misleading cool decor. Don't believe it!
Our cheese and olives came out first...the olives were so old they almost fell off the pit. The hummus was great, but how hard is that to mess up? Hubs guessed it was from Costco. Zac's entree, the Chicken Pastilla, was chicken in phylo pastry that was so caked with cinnamon it was nauseating. It belonged in the desserts. I ordered the Combo Kebab platter with lamb and chicken (see below) that was so charred it was laughable. I sent it back, and they still charged me for it, while giving me some chicken in a bowl of oil. I left it untouched and we skedaddled out of there.
