I walked in the room to find these two on the floor watching the Jazz game
Those reindeer PJs...I die.
On Thanksgiving Day we slept in (I had some of the deepest sleep everrrrr) and then got Reese in a bath and cute little outfit. Zac was so specific picking out her bow and sweater, saying she had to match because she was going to be star of the show! We went to Grandma Ruth's house and Reese got passed around (a lot of the cousins and uncles/aunts saw her for the first time!) and I piled up on yams and stuffing.
After dinner we went to a nearby park and played flag football...I got to use nursing Reese as an excuse but after watching everyone run around decided to join in (normally I would opt to be the cheerleader/Gatorade-dumping type of girl.) I even got some flags off of people! Zac looked hot running around the field so it was a win-win situation.
Reese was not a fan of the cold.
I don't think I can ever give up that little bear coat..
That night we went to Stephanie's and ate some pie, watched some football (aka the guys watched and we chatted) and then headed home to poor Theo.
Friday we went to Red Iguana and Reese slept like the angel she is so I could fully enjoy my poblano mole and then we braved a little Black Friday shopping at City Creek. Theo came with us and a little girl popped out of nowhere to pet him, which was terrifying given that he is a bear and we don't want a lawsuit for Christmas. Luckily, no harm done and we even got out of there with a couple deals (I can't wait for Reese to have her photo with Santa this year! The City Creek Santa looks so legit, too! Annnd they do pet photos with Santa on select dates...we may need to bring Theo.) We went with Sandy and Rich to the Nutcracker that night (my first time ever to see it...I felt like I morphed back into my little girl self and totally loved it. The whole time I kept thinking how much Reese will love it when she's older and we'll buy her a little nutcracker. Anyone else find the people in the mouse outfits creepy though?) Maybe we'll even put Reese in ballet for a bit..they're just so graceful. I took ballet as a kid..but was a dance school dropout when I realized I was the shortest and chubbiest in the leotard. lol. Zac was a good sport at the ballet and it was fun to have a little date night, though we missed Reese. I appreciate the little things we get to do so much more now--even if it's just a night out for a couple hours..I feel like we're dating again.
Our little cheetah
Sunday we set up our tree and even hung some Christmas lights! It is Reese and Theo's first Christmas and so fun to hang stockings for them. Theo even got into the spirit and ate 2 boxes of candy canes (we heard a thud outside but didn't know what it was...I guess somehow he got into the stash.) He had candy cane bits in his beard and fur and looked pleased with himself. He also tried to escape out of our yard last week and we got a frantic call in church from someone that had wrangled him while he was running around the Pioneer Museum. lolol
To avoid the puff paint disaster from last year, I used a marker for Reese's...#notcrafty
A fuzzy picture of these two...Reese LOVES Theo and will stop crying if he comes around. Theo has stopped trying to eat the socks off her feet and now just licks her face
Ta-da!! Christmas shopping is done (and I haven't even leaked Zac's present to him yet!) Crazy to realize we have lived here a year now. And Reese is 4 months old! She survived her 4 month vaccinations (I was dreading it so much I even tried a trick Zac read about online...apparently you put your vibrating phone next to their skin to distract the baby from the needle prick...yeah, doesn't work). Dr. Dimick said Reese looked strong and really healthy! She smiled the whole visit with him and was so excited.
